A Picnic In The Park!

July 15th, 2011, God planned and purposed for the 'proFRESHionals' to be in the Brookside Park with music, hotdogs, chips, water and lemonade for a reason! Of course, to man all there was was musics, hotdogses, chipses, waters, and lemonades, but with the Power of the Holy Ghost and the name of Jesus these became much more! After all, they are the Lord's chips! Along with our foods and drinks and skits the Cortez band came and ministered with musics and testimonies. After a good while of playing holy, annointed rock we pulled an altar call and I personally prayed with a man (Jonah Wiley), and others prayed with several other people in the crowd. Then! We played some crazy musics! In The Light as made famous by D.C. Talk, Born Again as made famous by Third Day, Dance Like David Danced as made famous by Salvador, and Oh The Blood as made famous by Karie Jobe were all translated to our ability and talent and God made up what we lacked. With Natalie, Elijah-Marie, Richard, J.J., and Alexis on vocals, J.J. and Natalie on guitar, Pastor Maloney on bass guitar, Taylors on piano, and me on baterias our performance was great and God was glorified! A second altar call produced more saved souls! Glory a Dios! While we put forth effort to attract adults with musics and foods, Mr. Dans had games and a parachute for the little ninos. When I was first asked to help I (literally) jumped to it, but I thought it was going to be lame, wiggling a parachute with a bunch of littluns. However, the highlight of my evening was wiggling the parachute with the littluns!! No wonder Jesus said, "Let the little children come unto me." A spiritually and physically productive day, no doubt, all the praise and glory be to God almighty! :)
